Sanjeev was confused, and frankly, a little worried. He thought things had been going well at the new job, but he manager had just given him feedback saying that he needed to watch his rude language with the departments heads. This made him realize how important modals in English are when communicating politely and professionally.<\/p>\n

When he met his friend, Rajesh, for lunch, Sanjeev mentioned the feedback he had received. Rajesh asked Sanjeev to describe how he interacted with his bosses in the office. Sanjeev was positive that his conversations were limited to merely asking them for guidance and pointers on how to go about different projects. This was a perfect example of using modals in English to ask for help politely.<\/p>\n

Using Modals in English<\/h2>\n

When Rajesh asked Sanjeev to say exactly how he would ask for help, Sanjeev said, \u201cI usually check with them if they have a minute and ask, \u2018Can you please help me with this?\u2019”<\/p>\n

Might\/Might have: <\/b>Used to express uncertainty or possibility.<\/p>\n
